Shameful songs that you liked as a kid?

Postby Miss-messy » Mon Jan 28, 2008 3:34 pm

Does anyone remember any songs they liked dat where clearly a I influance from their parents.

I was in my parents loft today and found an LP of my parents i use to love. The sleeve is missin and the names unreadable. but it goes sumthin like:

"always, i want to be with you, and make believe with you. and be in harmony, harmony always."

And at the last harmony it goes up to an unbelievable tone!!!
I think its must of been a REALLY!! unpopular coz no on else i've ever confesde to knows it!

Does anyone else hav any shameful songs?

There was that famous Rush record, I forget its name (it was a number, or a date), but that was out of my aunt's husband's closet. Then they told me not to play it so as to not put scratches on it.

The red one? I have a copy of that. :D

I have a lot of inherited music, but it is also one of my triggers, so I won't go into detail.

Not sure how shameful, but my first record albums were Best of Blondie and Queen......I saved up my allowance to buy them......sadly, I actually have the Best of Blondie on CD now, and I STILL love it :)
Take Care :)

Music is like wine it matures with age, with the exceptions of tunes which were $#%^ to begin with.
I wonder how many of us were conceived whilst are parents were at it ,with the records playing in the background.
My old man used to say i reminded him of a song by the beatles called its been a hard days night.
Long live vinyl.

impulsivegrrl, that song you provided the lyric to is 'Always', by Erasure. It's a good song - Don't be ashamed!

I have no shame in proclaiming that I am fond of many Westlife, Celine Dion, Spice Girls, and Elton John songs.
