Things that I like to read...........

Postby ginalovea » Mon Mar 06, 2017 12:36 am

My favorite reads are the magazines: "Archaeology" just because it is so darn interesting. I also like to read "Yoga Journal" just to keep me interested in my exercise of choice. I also read the magazine: "Mindfulness". It is all about mindfulness meditation. Just to keep me interested in meditation, which I do twice a day, everyday. I also like the magazine: "Prevention" because I am so health conscious and it keeps me up to date on the latest in health and fitness trends. So, those are my magazines. I like to read books too. I am a Roman Catholic and a Benedictine Oblate, so, I tend to read whatever it is that my Oblate groups are recommending. Also, I like to read classic novels. The books I'm reading right now are Volumes I and II of Sir Conan Doyle's "Sherlock Holmes". I just finished the first volume, now I'm starting on the second. Fascinating! At the same time, I am reading a book called: "Discovering Britain and Ireland" by the National Geographic Society. It is a fascinating read with the most gorgeous photography, as to be expected by the National Geographic. Right now, I am in heaven with all of these reads.

Great books... I like history, everything and anything history.
Until you're broken, you don't know what you're made of.
It gives you the ability to build yourself all over again,
but stronger than ever.

I totally endorse the Sherlock Holmes stories binge. I have one of those same volumes, and have gone through all of the Sherlock Holmes stories. The shorter stories are often better than the full books (IMO anyway), with the exception of the Hound of the Baskervilles.
