Should i leave england and move to australia?

Postby romanticsuffering » Sun Nov 13, 2016 12:37 pm

Im thinking of leaving england and moving to australia.

Does anyone have any experiences, thoughts, opinions or details about this?

What about some comparisons and pros/cons?

I cant make up my mind and i have zero friends or anyone else in my offline life to help me with this decision.

What are some good reasons I should leave england?
Or some good reasons why i shouldnt move to australia?

Thanks everyone :)

AFTER I moved to the Netherlands I found out that the four things to check for are: job market; housing; cultural differences; weather. I neglected to check how different Dutch weather is. Big mistake. HUGE. I love sunshine and heat. We get like two days per year of that. I spend a lot of time isolating at home/being depressed because it's grey, dark, wet and cold so much.

So one thing to keep in mind is that Aussie weather is going to be somewhat different from English :)

Australia is hot and sweaty, and most of it is monotonous outback Beyond the Black Stump.

It is also full of, and surrounded by, things that want to sting, bite, kill, and eat you, if the bush fires or Reaper don't kill you first.

Have you considered New Zealand or Chile, both of which have every conceivable landscape, and are far enough away from both deranged islamists and any potential future nuclear, chemical, biological, or theological war?

Australia is a continent.
I happen to be incontinent so I could never go there.
I hope that helps.
I don't have any friends either.
It is not always possible to make someone's discomfort go away.
Sometimes, the best thing we can do is resist the urge to fix it and instead just say, "You, too?"

Reasons to leave England: Snobs. Chavs. The Barnett Formula. Housing costs. The weather. The ongoing onslaught of pub closures. Petrol prices. Food prices. Alcohol prices. Stealth taxes. The Tories. Labour. UKIP. The so-called Liberal Democrats! Crap on TV. Terrorists. Islamic grooming gangs. Masonic paedophile rings. The militant left. The far right. Curtain twitching busybodies. People who want to talk about Strictly/Bake-Off/Celebrity etc.

Reasons not to move to Straya: Drop bears. Deadly spiders. Skin cancer. Crap beer. Crap fake Marmite. Sharks. Salties. Aboriginals only classed as human since the 1960s. It's the country that is responsible for Neighbours and Home & Away. The world's most obnoxious sports stars. Christmas in the summer- plain wrong. Inherent criminality.
