What is your reading speed?

The fastest reader in the world reads at over 25000 words per minute. I read about 250 wpm. I have heard the faster you read the more you are likely to read and more likely to succeed in your career.

I got 850! Used to be lots faster
The books it says I could read in a few days though? Doesn't make sense! It says Pride & Prejudice would take me 4 hours, and it took me like 20...because it was really boring & Great Expectations, 2 hours? Nah son! 2 months!

If you want to understand and even remember something of a boring text, it will take a lot longer to read it. Reading is hardly ever just a mechanical process, it requires thinking and if you have problems with concentrating and memorizing then it means you need more time.
