Lets Talk Literature

Anyone here like to read? I know there are quite a few of you out there! Lets talk literature.

My personal favorites are Kafka, Hemmingway, Bukowski, and George Orwell.
I bought me an illusion,
And I put it on the wall,
I let it fill my head with dreams,
And I had to have them all.

I read, a lot. More than anyone I know in fact. I'm not one for the "classics", but I have read Orwell's 1984 and Animal Farm. To be honest I almost hate them.

For me the ending ruined 1984, and the parts where the main character (sorry, I forget his name) read the book.

Animal Farm...well...from the instant it began the ending was known, and I didn't even read the back to find that out. I've heard people say that it's not as dismal as 1984, and that there's a feeling of hope still, but I don't feel that.

I don't have a problem with a book not getting it's happily ever after, but it's one thing to simply not have a happily ever after, and another to kill all hope of anything good entirely.

I read anything that I feel like reading, which is currently a lot of teen fiction. I'll read any genre, but I won't be caught with a Star Wras novel at any point in my lifetime.
