I started getting insomnia about 1 year ago. My brain won't shut off, but from 6 am to 8 am I usually get good sleep.
I think I know why.
2 reasons:
1) I started using my brain like never before, getting up and studying all day inside the house.
2) In the last year I can probably count on 2 hands the number of days I spent more than 4 hours outside in the sun.
About 2 summers ago all I did was play golf and go the gym. I remember that summer I had a problem of OVER sleeping which was dragging me down. So I'm trying to return to that state by going more outside (problem is winter sucks).
But here's my question: I wanna see if their is a correlation between taking the sun and sleeping well. How many of you insomniacs actually take the sun ?
Thanks.

Hi, lanaar2! Sorry about the late reply. Did you go to a doctor and tell them about what's going on?
I used to think that exposure to sunlight has a big influence on my being depressed or not but now I'm starting to doubt it.
You could post in the Living with mental illness forum too, as you might get more replies there.
forum-rules.phpI am sorry I am not on the forum as much as I used to be, if I do not reply to you quickly, please contact another moderator/supermod/admin as well.
