I can not find that book here.
Can you somehow scan it and upload somewhere on www?
Maybe you can picture the pages and save it as pdf.

Mmm no piracy here, please ;)

Matthews3 has a point though. One of the things I learned at my sleep course was that we create a vicious circle. We try to fall asleep, we don't, we look at our clocks and discover it's, say, 1am, we get anxious, try to fall asleep, look at our clocks, etc... It helped me a lot to simply stop looking at the clock. Stopping anxiety about not sleeping is not exactly an easy task though, a bit like saying "love yourself" – easier said than done is an understatement. But you can learn it – as long as you don't start beating yourself up and creating more anxiety by telling yourself you're not learning fast enough.

I lowered the antidepressant to 5 mg but my insomnia simptoms became worse so I don't know what else to do.
Anyone tried fluvoxamine for insomnia?

I just looked at that book that person suggested on Amazon and I don't trust the reviews for it are genuine. There are hardly any reviews and then the ones that are there have like 1 sentence and sound dodgy to me. You know people look for sites like this to market their stuff. All I'm saying is to be aware.
I have PTSD and I am awake most of the night because I'm afraid to go to sleep.
This probably isn't it or maybe even helpful but I just found out that if you are gluten intolerent (I am but I didn't know this before) & you eat gluten it causes bad insomnia.

And if you are intolerant to oxalates or histamines in foods & you are having a reaction to those chemicals in certain foods that can also cause insomnia. I guess you probably know staring at computer screens messes up your circatdian rhythms and there is this computer app that filters the blue lights. I'm going to try going totally gluten free and see if that helps me at all.

I'm sorry, I suck at advice but I hope you are doing okay.

I'm new to the forum but struggled with insomnia on and off through college. I'd be the crazy girl doing laps around the track field at 4AM, hoping to get tired enough to sleep. Ambien was like a magical cure for a bit, in moderation, but I found that I seriously thought I was constantly having bladder infections until two years later I realized a symptom is that it can be a diuretic. No kidding. Wish I had that memo earlier.

About two years ago I somehow magically ended up finding sleep meditation and hypnosis on youtube. I guess I was really just looking for some way to manifest a miracle (and I don't mean sleep, since actually, I was sleeping okay then... more like wanting to get myself on track in other aspects of life and thought it would help). I had attended this Wayne Dyer conference, not long before he passed away, and it kind of ignited this path and direction. That said, I found some help from female-voice channels on there. I know it sounds a bit nutso... (and I do recall a time when I first ever heard a sleep hypnosis cd as it was a luxury gift giveaway at a hotel and this weird dude on the recording kept saying I should relax the muscles of my buttocks in a way that had me laughing out loud so hard that I was not going to get sleep at all). But anyway, I swear that unless it's the worst of times... the very worst, I find that when I awaken too soon or have a hard time falling asleep that these channels have helped- Jody Whiteley, Lillian Eden, and Michelle's Sanctuary. Aside from the fact it can't really hurt much when you're stuck awake all night waiting for sleep to come anyway. But what's even more interesting is that I've listened so much that it really helps with anxiety and triggers when I am awake... it's a slow process... but one worth it so far.
