Our Story!

I would welcome anyone who has a child experiencing severe anxiety/school phobia/separation anxiety to visit my hubpage where I tell the story of my son Adam who was put on Prozac aged 10. He has been through many challenges as a result of this and I hope our story helps someone.

I read all of what you wrote and I thank you for it - It was well-written and easily understood. As I read the first few paragaphs, I began to feel as if Asperger's Syndrome fits your son's problems. I was amazed then when you mentioned Asperger's Syndrome later-on! I have Asperger's Syndrome and I am 25 years old. School was a horrible time for me too but I took the 'quiet' approach: I never expressed any of my problems to anyone and I never spoke to anyone. In fact, I probably spoke less in one week back then, than I speak in one day now.

It has been a rough journey for you and your family, but things are good now and you have valuable life-experience under your belt.
