apparently it alters your body chemistry...like our bodies are 70% water and it 'pulls' the water in our bodies and makes it move, like the tides of the ocean...

We used to ponder in crim class why there were more arrests on a full moon. I opined it was just because it was lighter out , although still night, so the crooks could see their victims better.

But, right, it doesn't explain all the purely 5150 (mental illness incidents) that goes on.

Have you ever seen a dog howl at the moon? They say dogs and other canines (wolves, coyotes) bark or howl at the full moon, cause they can see it but can't smell it, which freaks them out.

I'm affected by the moon, and during that time, if I wash my facial hair, I can't do a THING with it!

Seriously, our bodies are comprised mainly of water, and it's known that the moon affects the gravitational pull of the tides. Women's bodies are also affected by monthly cyclical circles, and to a lesser degree so are mens. Women's periods often occur at or roughly during the time of the full moon, and there are ancient pagan legends that liken the moon to a goddess, with the waning, full and waxing phases of the moon being likened to the stages of ovulation and menstruation and also the three ages of woman - maid, mother and crone. Whether it's psychological or otherwise, I seem to be at my most creative at the time of the full moon.

I went to Belize a few years ago. When the moon is full there it looks much larger, perhaps because one is closer to the equator. Belizians say the full moon is so powerful it will spoil bushmeat, mangos, coconuts, and breadfruit, etc. To protect their food the natives hide it in the dark from the moon (which also keeps it cooler  ).
