If it's been prescribed for you its' been prescribed for a reason. If you notice the effects of not taking it if you miss a dose, maybe you mistake these feelings for withdrawal symproms? It's important that you take it if your doctor has prescribed it for you.

No i don't really get any kind of withdrawal symptoms i'm just not able to really focus on whatever task i started in on. It can get a little heady sometimes though if i have been doing same task for a while ... like if you study for 3 hours strait you stop and your head is all "woozy" from studying that long, it's hard for me differentiate a bit how much of that is from adderall and how much is from studying.

The biggest issue i have been having with it lately is that I don't have this sense of "forward progressing" time... lately it has been merging into this half way point between "completely forward progressing" and "completely in the here and now". and i stopped taking my adderall last day or two just to make sure... and it is stabilizing between these two half way points.

that may be part of "normalizing" with rest of world too i think. like for 95% of my life i have felt as though time was always this forward progressing thing. like "when i go to med school" or "when i develop a career" kind of in the future a couple of years concept. or completely bi-polar to that, only a sense of time where there is "no time" but only "the moment". if that makes sense. and depending on whom im talking to this two poles seem to be mixing... *shrugs*

so i don't know if that is part of the adderall or just part of "growing up" and less disordered.

if you dont like the adderall, you might see about trying ritalin. the effects are a little more subtle.

Nah, i like the adderall just fine. I just... am sick of feeling like a drug addict for taking it normal. Been over at my sisters house and apparently will be here for a while... to be honest i'm already feeling more "normal". taking my adderall still the same but no more "craziness" while on it. like the "escaping behaviors" where i play video games for 4 hours strait instead of doing work on it...

i think it's just my house hold makes me feel like a drug addict for taking adderall. I mean, i logically know what the truth is, but that doesn't mean i'm able to emotionally process it.

I get weird in my parent's home too... full blown escapism.

Maybe you're self conscious around your critical mom.

Labor, now that you are in your sister's house I'm sure you will feel a lot more stable. It's important to keep taking your meds though. It sounds as if your mother criticised you for taking them.

oh she did, quite a bit so too! and it was great because my dad would keep making comments about it that were really very subtle and made me feel uncomfortable - especially since he did meth for like the last 4 years or so.
