I was listening to Heidi Montag this morning, and I came across the song "No More" by her. It's kind of like, more about trying to recover from the disorder instead of feeding into or epitomizing the disorder like some of these songs might be doing. Instead of empowering histrionic behavior, it needs to become balanced and ultimately self-empowering.
Lyrically, No More is kind of working from a POV where the HPD did no wrong, and kind of acting like they're really hurt by this break up... passive aggression, pretending that they are tired of loving.
"No more bad days, don't need you to validate me no more."
I know that grammatically that makes no sense, but I'm assuming they are going for the preferential perception. That line is good because it shows us what it's like to see the light at the end of the tunnel; when you finally realize what matters.
There are some mornings when the sky looks like a road.
There are some dragons who were built to have and hold.
And some machines are dropped from great heights lovingly,
and some great bellies ache with many bumblebees,
and they sting so terribly.
