Hmm, thats a little contradicting :D

Anyway, You could read about anxiety disorders until your blue
in the face, tricky thing is, you probably wont find one that is identical to yours. Everyone experiences their own symptoms.

For me, my anxiety can vary anywhere from shaking hands to stomach butterflies to even obsene/unexplainable thoughts.

Once you realize that your mentally or physically experiencing anxiety for atleast 2 motnhs continually, its pretty safe to call it an anxiety disorder.

If you would like to reply with more descriptive details, i will try to inform you best on which disorder it sounds like your suffering from mostly. BUT, I am not a doctor by any means. I can only give you advice and share my years of experience with you.

anxiety disorder

Postby matewzin » Wed Apr 23, 2008 4:33 am

Anxiety disorder is defined as the inability or fear of communicating with other human beings. The degree of GAD as a disorder is gauged by the intensity and duration of symptoms, including any problems with functioning caused by the symptoms. GAD is diagnosed if symptoms have been interfering with daily life and have been constantly present for at least six months.

Anxiety disorders are possibly the most common and frequently occurring mental disorders. They include a group of conditions that share extreme anxiety as the principal disturbance of mood or emotional tone. Anxiety, which may be understood as the pathological counterpart of normal fear, is manifest by disturbances of mood, as well as of thinking, behavior and physiological activity. Included in this category are panic disorder , agoraphobia, generalized anxiety disorder.
Anxiety disorders are responsive to counseling and to a wide variety of psychotherapies. During the past several decades, there has been an increasing enthusiasm for focused, time-limited therapies that address ways of coping with anxiety symptoms directly, rather than exploring unconscious conflict or other personal vulnerabilities. The medications typically used to treat patients with anxiety disorders benzodiazepines, antidepressants and newer compounds such as buspirone.
