In best shape of my life but lost libido

Postby Vc001 » Tue Jun 19, 2018 11:55 pm

I am 32 and have never been in better health than I am now. However, I have almost completely lost my libido. The following is the progression to where I am now:

-About 2 years ago, I gave up cigarettes. Sexual performance increased quite a bit, with off days that seemed normal and didn't pay attention to.

-About a year ago, I started exercising and eating healthy. I have now lost 40lbs, feeling better than ever before, and have a much more positive self-image. A lot more confident too.

-few months into having started exercising, I would frequently have days that my libido would be low.

-now, almost a year in, my libido is non-existent for long stretches of time; few weeks, a month sometimes. When it does come back, it maybe for a few hours one day or at most the entire day and then return back to non-existance.

The following is what I have tried but all failed:

1: decreased the stresses of my exercise routine as it was quite strenuous. I was thinking that the the stress of such a routine was depleting my testosterone.

2: varied and experimented with macronutrients and increased the amount of calories I was taking in.

3: just finished my MBA and decreased my work load, hoping less stress would help.

4: Improved my sleeping habits and increased duration to a minimum of 7 hours per night.

5: started taking fish oil, CoQ10, vitamins, and other supplements in addition to herbal supplements as well.

6: decreased exposure to porn.

Right now, the frequency with which my libido comes back has dropped down next to never. Any advice would much appreciated. Thanks!

It seems like you are doing all the right things to take good care of yourself. Have you had any recent physical exam from your primary physician?
Start with blood tests, look for hormone levels, let them know what is going on, etc.
If the doctor needs to, they will write you a referral to see a specialist. Always diagnose first.
Best of luck to you. :D

Had a similar issue and blood work showed deficiencies in Testosterone.
Ultimately I was not getting enough nutrients due to intestinal absorption issues
which brought on a testosterone imbalance.

A Testosterone regime brought me back plus some!

Be interesting to know what the outcome is if you care to share.
