Hello all, I am wondering if it possible to have dyslexia and still be a good writer? Ever since I can remember, I've had trouble with learning to read/ reading. I am the slowest reader I know, I often mistake words and I had to be in reading recovery/ speech classes when I was in elementary school. The schools said I had dyslexia when I was younger. When scoring for college placement classes, I score in remedial reading. However, writing has always come easy to me (since the middle school) and I easily scored into college level writing. So is it possible to be dyslexic and be a good writer? By the way I am now 23 if that helps.

When you say "writing" I take it you mean putting together a good story/explanation/answer/essay. How was your actual handwriting and spelling in elementary school?
