Hi Guys,

It's Iain. I could use your help with Evan. He wanted Pokemon Go so much that we negotiated with Host and downloaded it on our phone. But he won't play it. He says he doesn't want to anymore but I don't think that's it. I think he's scared of something. So I was thinking if one of his friends said it was safe and everything maybe he'd do it.

Thanks,

Iain

HI Iain,

When my kids irl do that it often means they are feeling bad or even punishing themselves for something. Something related to the item or even something not related. Not sure if this is why can be going on.

Evan,

we tried it with our kids irl and it is actually very fun and super safe! We did bunny's trick (I think it was her's ) and walked away from the first pokemons to get the pikachu! The pokemon's are so cool. And you can do it in the car too (if you are not driving of course). Also these little things, i forget what they are called, pop out of the ground. You can catch them too. Evan you will have so much fun and maybe if you are scared you can ask here or your others, or talk about what is scaring you. Or what you feel bad about.

For us, sometimes getting what you wish for makes us uncomfortable because we didn't experience that a lot as kids.

Try catching one pokemon and see if it is contagious :)

Hi Ian & Evan

Postby Blogjects » Sat Aug 13, 2016 3:18 pm

we play a game called Ingress from Niantic labs that is also augmented reality game same as pokemon go. We are level 5 and we are with the resistance faction. It is also based on GPS same as Pokemon go, so maybe if we have Ingress is same as Evan having pokemon go right?

Hi Evan! Nice to see you too!!! :D

Pokemon Go is fun. Viola usually turns the augmented reality off though. She says it makes it hard to aim.

Thanks everybody for being nice. I'm sorry I'm scared about the Pokemon game. I don't mean to be. I'm not trying to make anybody mad.

It's Iain now. Thanks everybody for helping me figure it out.

Evan likes things in his head but not in real life because it's safer. A long time ago if the family knew he really liked something then they knew what to take away to hurt him. Evan is worried that Pokemons are like puppies and kitties and stuffies that always get taken away once he loves them.
----------

We're working on fixing that. Thanks for your help.

I'm sorry to hear that used to happen. To be completely honest, my one big complaint with Pokemon GO is that, due to the mechanics, one really can't form much attachment to a Pokemon (if you want to be a top battler). Between the hoards of Pokemon needed to be captured just to power and/or evolve one Pokemon is ridiculous, and sending off the extras is necessary if you want to own something other than Weedles, Pidgeys, or Rattatas...those things are EVERYWHERE, and will fill the box quickly. Add on that it's often easier(mostly due to obnoxious stardust shortages) to replace a Pokemon for a more powerful one, rather than build the old one.... Unless your into metagaming and IV calculation (love SylphRoad!) and have a LOT of spare time.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game, it's the closest to experiencing the main titles IRL. I just wish there was more to be done with a Pokemon, like tweak it's moves, Soooo many good battlers ruined by bad random movesets! DX
