Is Dissociation necessary?

Postby SeenIt91 » Mon Jan 30, 2012 6:33 am

Is Dissiociation necessary for you when you need to be in contact with people?
Me as a host choose a different alter for every person i meet, these people will never be talking about us together since that will cause quite the confusion.

All of these alters listen to different type of music and all of them have different mental disorder.

????? - Antisocial - Does not care about breaking any boundaries or taboos. - Music Gangsta rap

Celeste - Schyzotypal - Indifferent to everyone and everything, in her own bubble. Music Folk metal

????? - Paranoid schyzo - This one is my biggest weakness, tends to feel persecuted at every words, causes dysfunction within my brain. Very Irrational. Music Horrorcore

Host - Simple guy, who tries to manage his alter and the whole social views, quite the sophist. Very knowledgeable. Doesn't appear very often.

So far only the schyzotypal alter told me her name, it's a she actually.
She looks exactly like me, with long hair and a scarred face. She takes care of the loneliness.

I do not have a therapist, i do not need one and will try to cope with all of them.
I just hate to be in a social context where they trigger, it makes it very worrying for some people.

I don't think dissociation is completely necessary in this situation, especially if you are co-conscious, which you seem to be. With a good amount of shared information, dissociation can be prevented while talking with others, I assume.
