depersonalization better after dreams

Postby brandonsmom777 » Mon Jan 23, 2012 3:04 pm

I know everyone dreams every night and it's really a matter of whether or not you remember them but it seems that when I do remember my dreams when I wake up my depersonalization is a little more tolerable and I feel more grounded. My dissociation is still the same though. I can only think it's maybe because when I woke up I was in my REM sleep (stupid alarm clock) I don't know, it's just kind of intertesting and I'd like to know if anyone else has this same experience ?

I dont know.. all I know is I HATE waking up whilst dreaming. It puts me in a horrible position for the rest of the day.

Having false awakenings mess me up a lot!
It makes me question every little thing that I do, and it sometimes even causes me to feel derealization. Which is just awful.

I think if having false awakenings is what you are describing, then yes, I have had those experiences before.
