Music while sleeping/alter appearances in dreams?

Postby Parasprite » Wed Jan 18, 2012 10:46 am

I might be making too many posts for a new user... Oh well, the main reason I came here is because the ideas were flowing.

Have any o you had experiences of alters appearing in your dreams because there was music playing? One of my alters (My child part) came out in my dream to make me change the music. I had heard "Gone Guru - Lifeseekers" and "Ridin' Dirty - Chamillionaire" in the dream. And when I woke up, I just flipped back one song to find them both on after another.

I never noticed how my child part is just like me when I was young. Normally you expect child part to act like childs but mine just has the same agressive-manipulative style I had when I was 10 or so.
My alters act like parasprites. They are cool and all but if I get in contact with somepony for too long, a new alter pops out with most of his personality traits

For starters, don't worry about making so many posts. You need clarity and support an whatever else, and that is why everyone is here :)

Second, I've never had an alter appear in a dream due to music playing, but this may be because we have music playing constantly to keep the mind stable. But, an alter has appeared in a dream before. I didnt recognize him, but I believe he showed me he was guarding our core. She was curled up in the fetal position, face covered. Anyway, I think it's neat that your alter reacts to the music you play. Do you communicate with him/her?

I've never had it happen in a dream because of music but if music is playing at all it can trigger an alter for different reasons like memory and stuff. Also don't worry about posting a lot, y just want ssome help and answers which everyone is awesome with here.

No, I don't communicate with ████, she is very rarely out. Sometimes I even begin to think she was integrated by another alter and I had no idea.

███ came out too. I had no idea who she was too until she started speaking. Then my first reaction was "Hey, you're ███". And yet communication with her is hard. When I dream it's clear when she talk because |Front|Imagination|Dream|Inside|. I'm amost always upfront and when I'm not I black out :/

I figured that much out. But when you dream it must be easier for them to look like something and talk to you

Well, we've had alters appear in dreams. It's kind of nice actually because if I switch in a dream, the whole body changes to look like whoever is out. They all like that. :) And we haven't had music specifically in dreams, but music DEFINITELY helps alters switch out, particularly if they aren't regular fronters, it keeps them focused on something to stay out.

I realized that. I've been able to stay out for two days on the sole fact that I'm the only one that likes techno music

I don'T really know what most of my alters look like so they all look the same. Expet Poison and ████
