Longest blackout?

After seeing the "Long blackout and a surprise" topic, I was wondering "Is 12 hours really that long or is it just long considering his blackouts?".

So, your longest blackout, with info if possible.

I think I've seen you here before Parasprite.
I don't know how long my longest amnesia was, maybe 5 - 6 hours. Many friends had seen me that evening, but I had no knowledge whatsoever of what had happened.

Where have you seen me?

I don't remember my childhood - not much until I was married at the age of 16.

I have had 18 parts act as hosts, so I have had entire years that are blank.

The Core Self had no memories until it was allowed to wake and come out a few weeks ago. It had been sleeping since infancy.

My system managers have things under control however. Whether it be years or a short time, they give me some foggy memories to fill in the gaps and on top of that we have a brilliant sharing system. When some memory is triggered that the part out does not know, the part that has it shares it if it is a safe memory. The memory is not as clear as having my own however. It all sounds odd, but it seems to be how my system works. Keep in mind I have 268 parts and only a small number of those are fragments so we are pretty complex. Does anyone else share like this. I know its odd, but others must do it too.

High school. XD Most of it, then when I went back to town people would talk to me, and I'm like whah? and they were like hey?I knew you for two years then you disappeared!

The memory is not as clear as having my own however. It all sounds odd, but it seems to be how my system works.

Makes sense to me, memories of others tend to be blurry, and in 3rd person. Like I'm watching a movie of some other person's life. odd I suppose.

Yes, I needed out of the family house asap! I am the core self and current host. I have only been host since late November 2011. Before that Jessica was host for 2 years. She made most of the posts in this group. If you mean how long has the core self been blacked out. 50 years.

Aren't there simpler way to get out of there? Like... Just moving out?

Were you in a blackout during high school or did you simply have amnesia afterwards?

It's not that easy to just move out when you are 16 years old and I did not know any better. I was a kid. I think that many people with DID never know they have it and their core selves never come out. They die with their secrets.

I did not go to HS. I did get my graduate degree however. Several different hosts were out during those years and also others would pop in and out of course. I have little memory of my past. Just those other parts are willing to share.
