I don't want to be selfish and post another question but last night was a hard night and I can't go online at home and it's right before I start work right now. I was wondering if anyone has a hard time exercising with their depersonalization or derealization? Anytime I exert myself my symptoms get a lot worse and it kind of prevents me from taking care of myself but I really need to lose weight...any suggestions?

I have found I get worse derealization when I exercise. I have found it is worse if I am exercising at high intensity or in an unfamiliar environment. I'd say it's important to look at why your DP/DR is getting worse when you exercise. Is there something in your immediate environment that is causing you underlying anxiety?
I found it a lot easier to overcome this when I got a personal trainer because then I have a safe person to be with me and so I'm no longer anxious about getting injured and not having any help or being unsafe around unfamiliar people around me. I know I have her there to help. It makes my DR a lot less bad when I am exercising.
You may find that if you look at your own reasons for why you get DP/DR when you are exercising, you may be able to overcome it to some extent. For example, if you are anxious about being in an unfamiliar environment, you could take a regular walking route so that it became familiar. Or if your DP/DR is getting worse because of anxiety of having people see you and be vulnerable around people from being exhausted from exercising, perhaps you could get a piece of exercise machinery for your home so that you are not around so many people when you are exercising. If it is getting worse because of the intensity of your exercise, perhaps you can start off at a low intensity and gradually build up over time. Etc.

Start with low impact maybe. Yoga, pilates, walking. Things like that work for me.
My conversion gets bad when I do high impact and I don't know why. My body can handle it. My theory on it is because when I get really skinny more men look at me. That makes me uncomfortable to say the least. As long as I stay above a size 10 in jeans I'm more comfortable in my own skin. I stay around that size and I'm fine. As soon as my size 10s get baggy, I can't take exercise anymore.
Anyways, that's my experience with it. There is probably a trigger of some sort for you as well. The trick is finding it.
