I realize not everyone's christan/celebrates christmas, but for those who do, try to have a good holiday :)

Merry christmas to everyone!
Unfortunately. I was in the ER for 4 hours on christmas :( apparently I had a 4 cm ovarian cist that ruptured. But I'm doing ok. Sux that it had to happen just before christmas dinner.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas. :D I know some (including myself) find this a difficult time of year and I hope that you are able to have had a more positive experience of Christmas this year.

It can be hard if you have to see family who have been part of your abuse or if you feel sad around this time of year from seeing that many other people have had fortunate and happy lives and that may not have been your experience also.

My heart goes out to each and every one of you here. I love and care about you all here. You are more my family here than anyone I know in my real life. I wish you all peace, good fortune and happiness. You are all strong and compassionate souls here and you deserve to live a wonderful life.
In a way, I am not defined by my dissociation. In a way, I am.

Thanks for the concern. I'm doing much better then I was, but its very painful and I dissociated a lot in the ER which I figured would happen. It was hard to pinpoint how much pain I was in but they ended up giving me diladin then instantly un-dissociated me (is that even a word? lol) I had blood taken and an iv, a ct scan, and an ultra sound. I came home and I'm in bed watching tv. The pain meds wore off and Jay came out for a while because he cannot feel this pain a bad a I do. Now I just feel sore like someone hit me with a bat in my ovar. I was rather worried that my dissociation from the pain would affect the quality of my care but the ER doctor was smart about testing me for a variety of things in order to care for me correctly.
