Weirdness in therapy today

Postby dividedtruth89 » Thu Oct 27, 2011 5:56 pm

So today was a pretty good session. Got out most of the stuff I had planned...not all, but at least some. At one point I thought that objects in the room were moving and I was getting a little freaked, but we worked through it. She said that would be derealization. Lol FREAKY! It happened a lot with my old T but never with her.

It was nice to actually be able to talk today instead of crying all over the place. Hopefully next time I can open up about the other $#%^.(namely, how I'm freaked about the 2 or 3 times I lost time and that I'm scared it could happen again)

We did this thing called "me moves." It was pretty interesting and helped relieve some anxiety. Here's a link: http://thinkingmoves.com/whatIsMeMoves.html

We used the "puzzle cards." Pretty cool, although I got freaked out when she moved her chair closer to me! I was glad when she moved away

That MeMoves looks pretty cool.

I'm glad that your session was mostly a good one. I had some derealization going on during my session today and it seems to be continuing into the afternoon, and is the reason I'm not running my errands today. (Don't drive when everything's all weird like this. It's TERRIFYING.)

Anyway, glad to hear things are going well! :)

Oh and we made a sand tray which helped a lot. My T has those little Russian doll things that fit inside of each other! I put them in my tray  We also put a mean scary lady in the tray but T offered to hold on to it. I'm so happy cuz it made it safer!
