Other Sites re DID Where one can chat or post messages

While I find this site to be a very good one, lately, there doesn't seem to be much "action". I would really appreciate it if others could direct me to other DID message boards or chatlines that they have found helpfu. Thanks

www.psychcentral.com has an active DID forum and chatroom. It's very safe.. no bashing at all allowed. Trolls and snerts are dealt with quickly... lots of littles too

It also has lots of other forums too... nona

Hello, I am new to this site, an also new to being told I have DID. During my therapy session yesterday, I was informed about this condition an that it is the same as Multiple Personality Disorder. Scares me on one level, yet I have been told by family an a couple of friends they have always known there was something different about me. With my kids, now grown adults, they have even given names to them. This is all very scarey, but this is all I have ever known since I was a young child. I also suffer from Panic, which apparently is a symptom of DID, not to say everyone with Panic also is DID. My brain hurts today, alot going on inside, an writting this I hope will help. Hope someone out there also can understand how confused I get an how time sometimes gets lost, along with objects around the house. Well, better go now. Please I hope someone will take this serious an if you would care to contact me, that would be fine, all I ask is that your sincere. Thank you.

i'm new also. just registered two days ago, i think. i'm glad you're here.

i completely understand, and i'm sure many others here do as well, about your confusion and issues. i think it really takes time to learn first to accept the diagnosis (dx) and secondly to learn yourself and how you are going to handle the diagnosis. everyone is different - last year i was stressed out and depressed - this year is better. i think it goes in cycles and each time i feel i climb a big mountain - other times i feel i'm in the valley.

i suggest you take your time and explore books, internet articles, etc. form an opinion of your diagnosis and how you feel about it. hopefully you can have some good things in your opinion!! don't forget, you're not alone. i think that sometimes i forget that and feel that i'm this group in my head that's alone.

keep your chin up and if you ever need someone to talk to - feel free to come here, or private message someone if it's too personal.

i read all the time to find out more -

Welcome to Fragileyes and Cat, :D

I have been dx with DID for 8 years so Im probably a little more comfortable with the Dx than you. This is a very good site. You will find knowledgeable and caring people here. You will find that your experiences aren't all that different from others with DID. This place is a good place to learn about DID too. People are good to respond to questions or concerns.

Look forward to reading your posts. :)

Regards,

mo

Morning,

I just wanted to say Thanks to Mermaidmo for the kind welcome. Today is not a good day unfortunately for me. It seems all I can think about is that it is 9/11, an keep remembering how terrible it was. I was not there but my heart sure was, as I am sure everyone else would agree with. If anyone who reads this was there or lost someone please know your in my thoughts an prayers. I have taken my med's but nothing seems to be helping , hope that will pass. If this is sounding like a " pitty party " please forgive, it is not intended too be one, maybe rather just a safe place where I feel I can vent an others might also beable to relate. So thanks for the space.. Maybe later if I can gather myself I will write again.
Bye for now.

Fragileyes :(
