David/Tommy

David has an imaginary friend named Tommy, his "Perfect" gay boyfriend. He's lonely I guess. So every once in a while, when David is gonna help me out, this Boston-Accented "Tommy" answers for him.

Do you think its fair for me to go out and get a boyfriend for him with a girlfriend on the side? Or is that too cruel for those involved?

As loathe as you might be to believe it, it sounds like Tommy could be another alter created by David.

You mean to date two people at once? I don't think that's a good idea. If everyone involved is ok with it, including both dates, I guess. But you'd have to be very open about it.

I actually know two couples who have open relationships. As long as EVERYONE is okay with it (and I think that would mean everyone in your system as well, just in case one objects to 'cheating'), it works out fairly well.

I tend to be very distrustful of women (actually a part of me pops up randomly and wants to scratch their faces off when they get near my husband, but that's another story... ) so it wouldn't work out in my marriage.

Maybe if you made a gay friend? It wouldn't have to be a true-blue relationship. Perhaps a friendship would suffice, so David wouldn't feel alone. He will have someone to relate to, at least.
