Schizo Alter?

Right, I know. I just posted that long rant like ten minutes ago, but I was supposed to post this questions yesterday and forgot.

Zerke (Scream) is basically my abusive alter. He's cut my a few times, but i don't think he's ever really tried to kill me. Him, Jeremi (unknown), and Meranda are some of my oldest Alters apparently. they say they've been around since I was in kindergarten and first grade, but I just recently found them. Anyways. That was off topic. I don't know much, only from what I've read in some of his conversations and what he's told me.

Basically, he had this sort of past life. He says he can remember being alive before he was born into my head. I only have a vague idea of what his life was like, but I do know that he was in love with a girl named Julie, or Juliet as he sometimes called her. Now, I get the feeling that his past life was a long time ago. Like, 1800s long time ago. I don't know why, and I don't know why I'm actually believing he had this past life, but meh. Whatever floats my boat I guess.

Anyways. Zerke always has this sort of... Darkness around him. It's like... I dunno. Sometimes its a gas, sometimes a solid, and on occasion a liquid like substance. Anyways. This Darkness can take forms sometime, but apparently only he can see them. So, apparently this Darkness takes the form of his Julie lover girl. He runs off with her for about an hour then goes into a huge screaming fit. He yells on the top of his lungs, breaks things, tries to pick fights, and just goes psycho on everyone.

No one really knows how to handle him. This has been going on for as long as I've known him, and probably longer. Kendra's been trying to play psychiatrist with him, but it's not working out too well.

Soo, two questions.
1.) Can Alters have past lives?
2.) How do we handle his Schizo/psychotic behavior?

My oldest alter G used to talk about past lives. It used to tell me that in a past life we had separate bodies and we were lovers which, I think, was part of the reason I've had a hard time accepting it as something internal versus external. The others have never said anything about it, although I know that C believes in past lives.

C can have very hurtful behavior. So can V.

C cuts the body at times, makes it purge itself and beats it. One of the other alters sometimes will sit with C until she's okay or point out the dangers and how she's really hurting more than one person in what she's doing. Sometimes this helps. Other times, we let C make long rants in our journal and that helps.

Reincarnation is one of many explanations religion attributed to d.i.d. some believe they are demons or spirits. But in my opinion I'm not sure if I want to believe my alters have had past lives. Jay talks about living in New York City and Chicago as if he's actually had a full life other then this. (which I haven't.) He believes he grew up in Chicago and moved to NYC. He had a rough life there but never elaborated on how he found him self here with me. I've asked and he seems to avoid a real answer.
