The problem I see with the various proposed new diagnoses Disorders of Extreme Stress Not Otherwise Specified, Complex PTSD, and Developmental Trauma Disorder, is that they are being defined by people who do not accept DID as a valid diagnosis, people who do not believe DID exists. These other diagnoses are being defined in such a way that they cannot be distinguished from DID.
Dx DID older woman married w kids.
0 Una, host + 3, 1, 5. 1 animal.
2 older man. 3 teen girl.
4 girl behind amnesia wall. 5 girl in love.

Agreed. Perhaps there shying away from DID because of the hype and controversy surrounding that dx. Kind of like BPD becoming emotional dysregulation disorder.
