I know very little about meds and feelings for that matter, because I ignore my feelings usually and only take meds if its absolutely necessary!

Then I wanted help with bulimia so I went to the Doc and she told me I was depressed. She is right. I just always ignored it and it was getting so bad I could hardly move at times.

So I take them...

Then I stopped, suddenly grant you, and I freaked out!

I started again and I could get back to concentrating on my problems.

You need to do what is best for you, but that week or so without them I learned to deeply appreciate them. I look at my journal that week and if I wrote anything it was a mess! I started taking them and I got back to communication with my alters and dealing with my issues instead of just feeling...

:( :? 8) :x      :!: :|

Hi all,

I take Cymbalta and Lithium.
I'm also dxed with bipolar but I do question that dx from time to time, especially now that I'm thinking DDNOS.
Anyway, I do find them helpful. They certainly ease things for me, but by no means do they fix everything. Not even close. I feel like crap almost all the time.
I don't like being on meds but when I'm off them, life is HELL and I find it even more difficult to be a mum.
Have tried many meds and yes, they are all different for everyone - even for the same person at different times.

Best, Zel.

Originally I was on zoloft which worked pretty well. I weaned off of that - I don't quite remember but I had a good reason for stopping it.

Cymbalta gave me suicidal thoughts.

I took celexa for a while which worked great, but It stopped working as well after awhile, and I think I have a sleeping disorder which that may or may not be affecting, so I just recently got off that to see.

Currently taking 5-HTP - it's over the counter! not working as well as the celexa, but the upside is that I have awesome dreams. Last nights dream I went to therapy and had two of the best therapy sessions ever.
