A New Alter?

Postby nickip212 » Tue Jun 28, 2011 4:42 am

Can an alter change into a different one? I am trying to figure out if there is a new alter in the system or if it is Amy with a different name and a higher voice...we were with Nicole's dad and then switched and someone who I am trying to figure out if it IS Amy or someone new grabbed his hand and said "let me take you to your graavee.." in a shakey high voice...it sounds like something Amy would say but Amy is locked up so I am wondering if it could be a new Alter?
I prefer the name Jinx

Diagnosis: Schizoaffective Disorder Bipolar type, OCD,Anxiety, SAD, ADD, possible DID

ive been having similar situations with 1 of my guys who is locked up... and it turns out its someone who isn't actually him, but is BFF's with him... They think the same, sound the same (sometimes) and are getting enjoyment out of the same, sick, psychotic things....

So yeah, its possible its not Amy, but at the same time it may well be that she's been teaching someone else inside to be like her.

Hope it helps some
H.

Hi nickip212.

The answer is yes! :D

I've had numerous alters that have changed their form, identities and names every now and then. I'm not sure why this happens and I haven't asked. My alters only say that the older alter who's place they took, isn't anymore here.

I guess that new alters can directly replace old alters when they have to leave the system. :) Just couple days ago I lost two of my oldest alters and new ones took their places. They say that the old ones are now part of me and that they've never actually left.

Integrationg maybe? *shrugs*

I've also noticed that alters can contract new alters from themselves and it confuses me to think that the old alter's personality has changed. But it's actually a twin sister/brother of the older alter. Maybe this is what happened to Amy?

Another thing that I've noticed is that alters change into their true self when I understand them properly. It's like they're big living puzzles that shed layers.

I hope this helped. :)

great reply Nakimachan!
it made me remember about my persecutor/Protector who has now kinda morphed into this other character. hes now actually nice!!! Only, its not the same guy anymore... The new one "P" comes from K's body, but looks very different to him and has none of K's traits... Everyone inside says its because he needs to be that person atm so he is!

Probably just confusing you more Nikip, but yeah, i guess its all possible! haha
