Hi nakimachan14,

I understand about the lack of trust. C is very untrusting of anyone (to a point where even the rest of question it). E and I generally do all the posting (although I think V2 may have made one post), but we're trying to go slow and keep in mind how uncomfortable C is.

V, the most animalistic of everyone, is hard to speak with despite the fact there are so many animals. She speaks English like it's not her native language and has very creative grammar. I don't think she can write either. Her first response is threaten things and then bite them. She's not an easy alter for my therapist to handle.

I have had an EEG and several other tests and my results showed minor seizure activity. They put me on tegratol for this. It doesn't seem to take away any actually I think I've had more seizure since I started taking it. So I discontinued taking it. I also have a feeling that I'm switching and not just seizuring. I have ask all of my known alters and it isn't anyone I know of so it have to be a new alter I don't kbow of yet. I don't know how to find out who though.

Chibixal,

I was initially diagnosed with epilepsy instead of DID. I was put on Tegretol but still experienced the same symptoms. They tried Keppra after that which made the dissociation insanely bad and caused one of my alters to become psychotic and not only try to kill me, but to terrorize my friends and family. After that they put me on Topamax which, in very high dosages, helped with my migraines but never entirely eliminated the suspected seizures. Do you think the Tegretol could be affecting your alters? I still don't know who tried to kill me on Keppra (and no one is admitting to it), so I'm wondering if s/he doesn't remember him/herself.

It was affecting each alter differently and it makes me sleep too much so that's why I discontinued taking it. But that still leaves the question of what I should do. It doesn't happen very often and if it really is switching how do I get this new alter to communicate like the others.

To LittleRedDog

Your description about your alters sounds very familiar. :) I'm just taking the first steps in teaching my pack to trust this place. Anything new means danger to everyone of us, so things are pretty intense right now! Everyone is on tiptoes. ^^;

Language barriers are quite tricky but great to know that you can communicate with V at least somehow. :) My humanoid alter talks with growls but s/he can write with lacking wording. S/he's also a biter! The feline alter can change his/her shape into human and talk normally. In feline form s/he just hisses and meows. I had a therapy today and there s/he let T know that s/he doesn't trust her - problems ahead!

Sorry for using "s/he" and "his/her" all the time! My alters don't want to tell their genders. ^^;

Not too sure if this counts are an Alter, but Max, when he was ten, built this mechanical bird, who we named Short Circuit.

Short Circuit doesn't take over my body or anything like that, but he does act on his own inside our World. Does that really count though?

I've heard of people having internal pets. Like S has lots of little internal pets that bounce around and do their own things. They don't take over, nor do I think they could, but they provide her with joy. S2 has a "living" stuffed horse inside that plays with him when no one else can/will. Actually, now that I think about it, most everyone has something internal that's either a pet or a toy or something that interacts in a way that it could not or would not outside the head.
