Oh, dear, no I do not think that at all! But that did make me giggle a bit. ^_^

Bernadette,

Sometimes i think i came pretty close to shattering when i was younger. I lived a lot in my head. Everything i wasn't allowed to say would be said in there. Reading books was my favorite escape. It's possible that without that i might have cracked under the pressure. I'm glad i shared that stuff with you guys because i feel a little better now myself.

Minerva,

Glad you had a giggle. That was my intent. Did you get that book i told you about yet? It's still possible to send you guys a text document with it enclosed inside. Let me know :)

Oh, dear, well I'm glad you found a way to deal with all that. Rini tends to escape into novels as well - she also writes a lot. When she was younger, she wrote worlds that she could escape into and always put herself in one of her characters so she could build relationships that worked for her even though she had a bad family life and didn't have very many friends because her parents kept making her transfer schools - she went to at least 7 before college. I'm glad you're feeling better about yourself as well ^^ That is quite a good thing.

Thank you :D We did not yet purchase the book you recommended because Rini had to pay her bills recently, but she has been making a reading list of books on DID and a movie list as well; she has done quite a lot of research in the past couple of months. Rini prefers books because she can hold them, and their scent, and such things, but I am sure she would appreciate an electronic copy as well, so that would be perfect, thank you.

Minerva, Rini,

:D both of you!

I love books. I have about 40 solid physical books. I like to hold them and to smell them too haha. However with a laptop i can read alot more at any place with a plugin. While i wait for classes i sit in the student lounge areas, and read e-books from the laptop. I have over 12 thousand Ebooks :). If you want me to send you the book. Pm me an e-mail address you'd like it sent to and i'll get it to you right away.

Bernadette,

I don't know how i dealt with it. I doubt reading about how harry potter had to live with the dursley's really helped. Your current situation reminds me of that. Having to come back home during the summer, and live with people who don't take care of you. yeesh. I thought transferring between four high schools was rough. 7? Thats horrible. I would be curious to know how Rini's school spirit held up. Mine died by the second trans.

Hello again, Jsilver.

Rini has quite the collection of physical books as well. I'd say that a fair amount of the money she doesn't use for bills are spent on books or manga. I think she has anywhere from $2-3,000 worth of books and that's just what she took with her to her dorm XD. She has a laptop full of books as well because she has the Kindle for computers or whatever it's called and she downloaded all the free e-books so she can read the classics. She just prefers to read books in the physical form, especially because books don't depend on battery life, as she puts it. I will send you a PM of her e-mail so she can receive the electronic copy, thank you ^^

Ha, actually you aren't the first person to relate Rini's situation to Harry Potter's. It was often joked about with her friends (although I doubt many of them really knew that she was being quite serious). Luckily, Rini is quite the busy bee this summer (and purposefully so) so hopefully she'll do better once she's out of the house. Her tension usually dissipates once she's on her way to work or going for a bike ride, and so on. I often take over but her family is a collective moron and always asks why she's talking in a high pitched voice even though they know about this; I had to fight the urge just to introduce myself because Rini is trying just to ignore it just as they are (she isn't ignoring US but she prefers we don't say much - like when her sister asked why her voice was squeaky just now or when her little brother told her to stop using a Southern accent because it was annoying when he was playing basketball with Tucker...we just kind of, leave (and by that, I mean we leave the room), at that point and wait for Rini to feel ready to come back). Yeah, Rini's been to every kind of school, public, private, Lutheran, Catholic - she's just happy to be in college now. Rini never had school spirit beyond 8th grade. She had what she called "anti" spirit and rooted for the opposing teams in high school XD That's when Bridgitte and I became most active, beginning of her high school years. She went from a 400 person all-girls Catholic school to a co-ed public school with 2,000 kids. It kind of freaked her out.

I suppose i have no problem with being an internet pirate. I never pay for books movies or manga. The only media i spend money on are videogames and movie theater tickets. Although some videogames i do get for free as well. ^^

As far as schools go i went from a high school so small the building was literally connected to the grade school, to a high school with three stories, to a high school that was setup like a college campus on two sides of a street. Dealing with just white kids then white and latino kids and then white and black kids has given me a pretty good idea of how to interact with other cultures so.. thats good i guess. I think it's lame that even your little brother gets annoyed with tucker's accent. You'd think there would be someone in the household who didn't mind and i would usually peg the younger member.. *sigh* i guess they are a collected moron. I'm sorry for that it must be exhausting.

Well, as long as yer an internet pirate, I guess. Rin likes ta own the physical things or else she'd save lotsa money that she tends ta waste on such things. Altho, ta her credit, she usually hits Goodwill or second hand shops fer that stuff. Rin ALWAYS gets video games when she's been waitin' fer 'em, tho. Girl games a lot more'n some o' her guy friends.

Rin's grade school an middle school were like that - connected an there was a seperate buildin' fer the elementary kids all the way down ta daycare age - that was her first Catholic school. Ironically, Rin's parents didn't send her ta a certain school cuz they still hit the kids there. As if they cared, heh. An that sounds like a lot o' diversity in yer schools - Rin's classmates were mostly white kids til she went to public high school, but that's what happens when ya have a sh#### school chargin' ya outrageous amounts o' money it don't deserve.
Yeh, Jimmy ain't too thrilled when I came out earlier - altho whenever Rin switches, he asks bout where the accent went. Bernadette told him it was sleepin' XD Altho today, when B came out, she was talkin' to Jimmy, and he asked her "Well...which voice are you?" I almost wanted her to high five him fer that one; Bernadette was speechless (for once). He seems to be catchin' on, that little scoundrel. So, we'll see how he takes it if next time he asks, and B actually tells him it's her.

"that lil scoundrel" haha... I do hope he catches on. It would be awesome for you guys to have an ally in the house even if it is the younger brother. The idea of B being speechless sorta made me crack up.

He is a little scoundrel XD I really dunno how else ta describe him. Yeh, it would be nice ta have someone here who at least TRIED ta understand us an what Rin's goin' thru. I mean, he's Minerva's age but we're all nervous that that wouldn't go over well, 'specially cuz Min's super sensitive an she tends ta be right proper when she's out.
Bernadette bein' speechless is quite the sight XD She tends to speak right quick, half the time, we dunno what she's sayin'. I'm surprised J can understand her (Rin's best friend). Rin talks pretty fast too but doesn't have as much ta say XD One friend said ta her once "My life will be complete when I can ramble in Japanese as fast as you do in English." - Rin's got some weird friends, heh. An crackin' up, were ya? Good ta know. I'm actually surprised B hasn't tried ta say anythin' here yet.

Re: My Sister Thinks I am Faking DID

So, I thought I'd offer you guys an update about what's going on with my mother's little stint concerning my therapist. My therapist called me on Monday to let me know that they indeed took our insurance (which I already knew) but then she asked me what they were saying and I was telling her, "Y'know, that's a good question"; because now my therapist is wondering what is perpetuating about their practices, since all the therapists are technically individual contractors. She asked me to talk to my mom and ask if she wanted to meet with her so she could dispel anything that she may have heard. I said that I was nervous about talking with her, but my therapist asked me to try.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell, guess who won't listen to me OR my therapist? Mom informed me when she "has all the facts in front of [me] I'll let you know". So, waitwaitwait, you DON'T have all the facts? Explain. And she said that she doesn't think that "those people would be good for you". It's almost confirming what I thought previously about how she doesn't understand my situation, so it looks like it's coming outta pocket XD

My therapist informed me before that I may have difficulty with my mother because when she first met with my parents, apparently, my parents thought there was only something wrong with me and they were concerned with "fixing" me but didn't see the problems that were coming from them, like, ever. So that was interesting to learn.

Yeah. We'll see. Bernadette left another message on her machine for her to get later. Hopefully she'll call back tomorrow.

Irritated,

Rini
