Not Happy

Postby smallcat » Thu Sep 16, 2010 3:42 pm

Hello.

I'm Genevieve Waters, known as Jen in our system. I'm the main alter, apparently, Emily is our central person. I don't know why she's decided to post here, there's nothing sodding well wrong with us. Well, there is with Heather, but I suppose there isn't anything wrong with obsessively tidying. Ergh you should see our room, it's like a robot hit it. She's the true idiot of the system.

Well, I'm here because I'm going to have to say hello at some point. Emily keeps splurging her brain up here and at least if I've made an effort here then I can actually start talking to her and try and convince her about Heather. She's absolutely livid with me, but hey, I'm not the freak who has the need to order every book we own alphabetically.

So hello everybody. I might pop out from time to time, but personally, I think Em's being incredibly weak in posting here. It's just her being paranoid and yeah, maybe this is a disorder that fits all of us in the system but it doesn't make it a problem. I'm just here to help her, sort her out, and I'm going to get her thin and beautiful. Yah, I'm the one with what's technically known as "anorexia" but this is sodding ridiculous. Some things are just eccentricities of a person, it doesn't make them wrong and it doesn't make them a problem.

Bye.
Am I feeling what I think I'm feeling?

17 years old. Severe bulimia, anorexia, and almost certainly DID. Well, there's more than one of us anyway. I'm Emily, then there's Jen, Heather, Echo, Vivian, Lily, and possibly others. If you meet anybody else, do tell me :D

I don't believe Emily ever said it was a problem. I think she just finds it nice to know there are others like you all. I don't think being multiple is a problem, at all. There are probably problems that caused it, but it's awesome that everyone exists.

What exactly are you trying to convince her of?

Terra's the same way. Though she can't do much in the place we're at. There's no room to move anything, thankfully. And Kris likes her books, movies and music in alphabetical order, says it makes it easier for her to find them.

Ah, you have my ideals. I still say Kris didn't suffer through enough trauma for this, so she's just imagining this is what she has so she has something.
Kay, seeing how we switch and do actually talk, we'll color code ourselves: Kris (The Host), Edward, Jasper, Arista, Rein, Sycamore, Kitaro, Fiametta (Who only speaks Italian.), and Adonis.

Whether she went though "enough" (which is different for every child) or not, doesn't really matter. You exist, have separate thoughts/feelings, and act differently from Kris and everyone else, right? Then you have DID.

canolime: Then if that was her trauma she's really weak.

misty: Oh, I know why it' like that. Kris is messy to a fault, (ADHD disorganization.) so Terra was created to be clean. She's also got the english accent everyone says Kris has. So, it works. She's also quieter than Kris.

well that makes sence sounds like it balances things out lol to have a bit of both? it must drive you guys crazy though? its funny how lots of people with DID have alters that are polar oppisites its kinda neat and makes a lot of sense when one is rtying to maintain homeostasis in ones system.

people with DID develop it in such emotional disstress that they have to split what ever that trauma was it must have been pretty bad because the reasearch about DID from a diagnositic view point says its impossible to develop it unless the situation is percieved as life threatning its the same for a diagnosis of ptsd. this dosnt mean that the person had a life threatning experience it could mean that a baby was neglected and when babies are neglected they can die they are completely helpless and this is intolorable for a small child. threats from a parent when a child is small can also be percieved as life threatning because children take everything literaly and children actually need love to survive so a child who is neglected or abused will interpret this as life threatning. even bullying when you are very young can be life threatning the main criterea for a disorder like this is the percieved threat of death this can mean a lot of things but is ultimatly "to much" for a child to handle. so whatever made you guys split would have been terrifying maybe you dont remember all of it? or maybe you are extra tough so it dosent seem so bad to you?

Her father died when she was four. That was her trauma. (I'm gonna be out for a while anyway. Kris's having a melt-down. Yuck.) So, like I said, that's not too amazing. Lots of kids lose their parents. Big deal. I don't see how that could have caused a split. Seriously.
