*Potential Trigger* Contact from an Abuser

Postby mosaicmonkey » Fri May 07, 2010 8:24 pm

One of our abusers tried adding Mara on facebook. Mara wunt round at the time but Kerry picked it up & it really upset her. I now have that memory because of the impact it had on her.

He is Mara's brother's best frend & she never told her brother she was worried it would upset him too much. We're safe nw, he's over 5000 miles away. I worry that when Mara comes back he may have re-added her (I've already ignored it) & it will send her right back to where she came from.

How wud you deal wit it? Someone sed we shud messeg him & tell him hw mch pain it's caused. jus not sure what to do abt it.

Mara's vulnerable right nw.

Tell him to never contact you again, you want absolutely nothing to do with him after all he's done to you.

Hey Josh,

These things really make me angry. Who do those perverts think they are!
On FB in 'account' (top right) there's the privacy settings. In those you can block people from seeing your profile or adding you or anything. You should really do that!

Number one priority is that you're safe and you feel safe.

You can also block his profile on Facebook and his e-mail address (if you know it).
You owe this guy nothing and he doesn't deserve your protection.
Mara's going to find out sooner or later so maybe you guys can come up with a plan to help cope.
It's really shocking to find out things that have happened while you were away, especially
something like this!

Hang in there!

Hey I'm Maras partner. Josh don't know how to use facebook :P I've already said when we can get onto her facebook on the pc I'll jump on and block him, but we can only do it on phone atm as we don't know her password to go on pc. It's a good idea making a plan incase it happens. Just wanted to say it's amazing you all support eachother on here. :)
