There used to be a painting in my old house, where all the wonderfully bad things happened, that I believed to be long gone. It is now hanging in my mother's room, from her wall. Maybe she brought it back because she suspects me of being multiple again? I don't know what it is about this painting, but something familiar, something horrible about it haunts me.

Image

You can't see it clearly in this pic but the words "Paladin Flight" are printed top and bottom (respectively).

Hey,

It might just be coincidence that she has put the painting back up, or maybe she belives that you like it. i'm sure that you would have been caught staring at it by her in the past, so, she might also think that you like it.

It was down for years, I thought she got rid of it, I never even mentioned me liking that painting. I don't think this is a coincidence of any kind. I think I should investigate, even ask her about it.

Hi again,

Is asking her going to be a problem? From the way you said it, I am thinking that it might be. Anyway, you should try to talk more about stuff like this to people. That is what the majority of people do: They talk to others about their worries, frustrations, and general problems and gain comfort from sharing them.

Well considering I don't have a pleasant past involving my mom, yeah. And I am talking about this to people. I come to this forum and have been coming to this forum to talk to other multiples for a good long time now. Over a year or two, I think.

Isn't he talking about it by posting it on here?

Mike,
I am sorry this is triggering for you, I don't personally like the image, if it makes you feel better. I would investigate it casually. I know you know to be careful, but still I exercise the caution, be careful.
Good luck to you and let us know what comes of it.

Yes, he is talking about it by coming here but I meant talking about it to his close friends. I believe that talking about problems on an Internet forum is good, but does not compare to sharing your feelings with someone in real life. Know what I mean?

Chucky I know what you're talking about.

It does feel better talking about worries and sadness to friends. I never used to do it, but will occassionally now. It feels better than keeping it to yourself or putting in a text box.

Anyway..... No idea why your mom has put up the image. From the way you're talking, it probably isn't good. :? I am sorry this has had happened.

(The picture is creepy, btw.)

Good luck ~

But sometimes when it comes to DID and an unsupportive, or possibly dangerous family, it is unwise to go spouting your feelings around to friends and family, and some people, don't have a choice but to use a forums as their only means, Bates, does not know what this picture means to him, and it is quite possibly dangerous for him to bring the topic of with his friends and family, therefore, to go speaking to them about how it makes him feel isn't exactly the best way to go...

The reason I am so adamant about this, is because what you said Chucky made it sound like he should go somewhere else to talk about his feelings. Coming from a moderator, I was pretty pissed about this comment. I don't know if that was your intent, or if it came out wrong, but I took offense to it. I know Mike is much more laid back and can handle things like that better than I can, but I just wanted to make sure he was welcome to post his feelings here, even if someone felt otherwise.
