I want to ask what everyone thinks. I'm living with my dad with dimentia. I've spent three times in the psych ward. Once over a month. But I was making sure my brother filled through with helping take care of our father. Which he's never done and refused to do. He's very controlling. I want to hire my dad's lawyer now using my truck which my brother stole and is leagaly in my name. To hire my dad's lawyer for my brother to help me out besides my dad and not leave me to fend for myself alone. So I can have someone to help me as well. Please let me know what everyone might think. Basically it would rewrite my special needs trust to help me be taken care of.

Hi. I understand you want to make your brother take on caretaking of your father. And you want to use your trust, a legal instrument, to do it. I don't think any of that plan is likely to work.
Do you have a social services agency looking out for you? Or a social worker? If not, get that lined up, and then talk to them about how to resolve these matters.
