"I" occasionally get work translating but its not me that is good with languages it is Elspeth. She never fronts but she thinks the translation and I say it. I was only made aware of this about a week or so ago....

Ive had this book for years "wie war das hirble" standard secondary school stuff but I have been unable to get past the first page, every second word I would have to look up. And I gave up, figured I had just forgoten it. Then last week my daughter comes home with "fritz hatte einem platte" and I read that to her and translated it with out any problem and I was hearing my self translating thinking "wow is that me? It must be me thats my voice, but if thats me then how come I'm thinking this right now?" Then when I mentioned it to our T he told us that elspeth refuses to speek english instead she uses a mish mash of about 10 or so languages and has pleaded that we dont use french around her.

Next week I have 5 days straight of teaching - the sign language I know myself - but one of the days is a language I have no memories of ever learning - apparently we were overheard talking in it by the school librarian and when they emailed to make the booking Mo was the one to reply, she assumed that I was the one who handled languages so said yes. I am hoping Elspeth wont get stage fright.... It could look very embarising if I get a mental block in front of 60 kids.
just Peter now cos the others all hidin
