Bubble

Postby Harri » Sat Aug 25, 2007 9:54 pm

Recently I have been writing A LOT.

I've been randomly driving off places and stopping at random service stations across the south east of England, and for some reason I've been writing lots, sitting in those small roadside cafes.

But since this creative burst began, I've been in a bubble. It's hard to describe, but it's there when I wake up and look outside. All across the sky, it fits like a sphere of invisible wall over to the horizon. Sometimes it is closer, say to about 5 metres in circumference around me. It cuts me off from things and brings me closer to the world at the same time. And the odd thing is, it is a REALLY comfortable feeling. Every time I realise it's happening again, I feel all sedate and calm.

I feel a bit like an astronaut actually. It's a very nice feeling though, btu I'm not quite sure what to make of it. Maybe it's just the weather we've been having recently in the UK?

It's great to hear you're writing so much :)

The bubble-thing huh.. well, it sounds like derealization to me, because it sounds very familiar and I experience derealization 24/7, and it has the possibility to be comforting and making you see a clearer picture of the world while you can't really reach it on the other hand.. but for writing, it can actually be quite a perfect state, whether it's derealization or not, it seems to help you at this point, so sounds good.

Thanks for your insight, Dimensional :) It makes it clearer for me as to what's going on.

And.. yay, I love those episodes :)

As mentioned above, it is REALLY great that you are writing so much.

I don't know if it is the same for you, but I hate it when I have those fuzzy bubble moments. I feel like I am completely detached and I can't focus or talk to anyone. It feels gross. And all I want to do is sleep.
Everything looks different too. LIke there is a filter over my eyes, and everything is sharper and brighter, but at the same time bllurred and and far off.
I often get migraines after these "bubble" episodes and I think part of it is due to the aura symptoms of migraines, but I think also its part to do with being dissociated.
And i really like playing with bubbled they are so pretty and fun to blow at the kitties.

ya, i agree with Lark and Dimensional. sometimes i feel lke my head is in a bubble floating over my body. it's like i don't have a body. weird feeling, but it does make me feel safer, like no one can hurt me.

i'm glad you're writing Harri. lately i've been limiting it to leaving possitive messages for the other alters. trying to get them out of their miserable negativity. i think it's helping some. others seem hopeless.
