After that, as long as you have DID and not something else, someone experiencing this should consider it a big plus that at least some communication is happening, that one of you can hear the others. So many people with DID don't have good communication, some any communication.

For a person with DID, two major goals are gaining and maintaining stability and fostering communication among alters or parts. Far from being unhealthy, internal dialogue is what most of us work hard to achieve.

Sometimes saying/asking something out loud and getting an internal response is common, too. It's mostly how Pixie and I communicate- she laughs at me b/c I haven't figured out how to use "my inner voice" yet, so I NEED to talk out loud for her to hear me. LOL

As for communication- it's been the PRIMARY goal for me, for us, so far. We've gotten SOME, but it's not regular, inconsistent, and not very deep at all... it's a work in progress- it's the first step towards cooperatively existing- a necessary step towards more unity, maybe integration if that works for you and your system. But it ALL begins with communication.

AllCoulors you mean in your head? Sometimes its so loud for me or so off the wall in thought I literally jump. I talked to her about the answering myself when I ask myself something she said it was alters. I talked to her about hearing my name called she said thats probably alters. I asked her about hearing my name called and she said thats probably alters. I DO NOT like the word probably. It's not concrete enough for me. I also asked her about thought stopping. I can literally stop what my alters say mid sentence which I font like and don't do on purpose. I want to know what they want to say. She said thats evidence I am not schizophrenic. I person here told me that means its not coming from alters. Idk

You are the only one who can say defenitely. No one else can, not even your therapist because she is not in your head. She does have a lot of experience with did and other people who have it, so why not trust in what she has to say. And what all of us on the forum keep saying to you...
I think its good she is not saying defenitely. For me that would be like she is al knowing or pushing me in a direction that may not be right. I would get mad if she would do that and find her less trustworthy. So in my opinion she is doing a good job the way she speaking to you now. In the end its up to you. You have to believe and not just because someone else is saying it to you.

I can also stop my thoughts mid sentence. And now going to stop convincing you, cause were going in the same direction as a few days/weeks before and I do not like that.
