That's hilarious! Pixie seems like a fun girl to be around~ I'm hoping to get to ask those kinds of questions soon, but right now we're going through and doing a bit of a roll call and assigning everyone colors to use if they ever decide to speak on the forums:D

The first part I should have expected. That girl has NO shortage of self-esteem or personality.
The second part surprised me a little.

It IS typically Pixie'ish of her. That's her nature and personality in a nutshell. She's been a lot of fun talking to her over the last 10 years and I hope to get to know her even better now.

Colors for each one? That's a great idea! She's posted on here, signing off with "wings" on her name like {\Pixie/}, but never used a color. I think that's something I will have to try and establish with her, too! :)

Yeah, it's really good I feel for everyone else to be able to talk freely without worrying about whether or not people can tell it's them speaking. Although, we've got 38 members of our system that A's aware of, and I get the feeling that A's still subconsciously searching through his mind to find more of us, so we'll probably find a lot more soon. We already have so many that it's kind of necessary for us to italicize and bold as well as use different colors to make our formats distinguishable.

I have I think 6-8 that I'm aware of and think are likely to exist. There are others that are secondary and minor (my terms) ones but I don't know how to consider or count them. These are ones like parents of specific primary ones (what I call minor- based on minimal activity or presence, ever), or other more active/present relatives of the primary ones (what I call secondary). In both cases, secondary and minor, they interacted ONLY through the primary ones, so IDK if they are fully developed individual parts, or fragments, or what…

Counting- Including the secondary ones, maybe as many as a dozen… And adding in even less active or seen "minor" ones… closer to 2 dozen, perhaps more… I don't really know at this point.

That's how I have been since I started to meet everyone like a month and a half to two months ago. I had a bit more than you did from the start because I'm pretty self-aware (and might just straight up have more than you do). But, like, maybe two days ago, I met Amber, and she started to get me and Jarid to stop categorizing the others like that. To Amber, it dehumanized them all, and pretty much all of us agreed. Before we met Amber, we had like 12-14 dominant personalities, 8-10 less dominant personalities, 5 personalities only met in the mind, and 3 personalities named but not met. Now, we have 35 personalities who have been out of the head/have fronted, 1 personality I've only met in the mind, and 2 personalities that have names but I haven't met, but we aren't done with getting everybody to pick a color. I'm also pretty sure there's more, but I haven't met them yet.

As well as removing the boundaries of levels of dominance, going through and bringing out each of them individually while remaining co-conscious led to Carlos, Cassandra, Dorothy, Derek, and Gluttony coming out of the head for the first time. I've had each of them write their name if applicable, the age they identify as if applicable, the gender they identify as if applicable, and a short sentence about themself all in the format they decide to type in on the forums. We've made it from myself to Jarid alphabetically, and at that point it became a little overwhelming and we've put it on pause.

I am trying to not use those terms directly b/c I don't want to upset anyone, but I am at a loss as to how to identify them and their activity and presence- and it's notably different than the most active and present ones…

I have no doubt our counts are different. From what I've seen every single case is 100% unique in terms of how many we have, what they do, who does what, etc. Every bit as unique as the people that they are part of and comprise. :)

I was at a loss on how to identify them and their activity and presence, too, and Amber helped me realize that--at least for our system--that identification is unnecessary. The way I see it, is that Jarid and I were putting the others into boxes before we really came to understand them, and therefore we weren't coming to understand them. However, our system is not your system, and I hope you figure out what is best for your system:)

I think Jarid wants to say something.

Some of the others' activity was notably different than the most active and present ones in our system as well, which is why A and I were categorizing them as dominant/less dominant. For instance, until today, Georgie had only came out once and said a phrase. Carlos had only said one phrase in the mind the first week A started discovering everybody. Whereas Mike takes over when A is driving and someone else does something stupid that puts us in danger, or traffic is really heavy. He even outran a train when A accidentally walked in front of it. There was and is a vast difference in their activity, but because we were categorizing them based on that, we never really got to know them. They never got a chance to show themselves to us because we didn't let them because we considered them to be less dominant.

Thank you, both of you. That gives me a bit to think about. I had an unorthodox relationship with several of mine before I knew they weren't part of me/us. Until that was made known to me, I thought they were separate people somewhere else in the world. So it's been awkward to get to know them in light of this change in awareness, but I have a familiarity with these few.
Those few that were actively engaging in that kind of thing before are the ones I called "primary" or "main"- the ones the other, less active, ones communicated to myself (and others) through. I am unsure if this was for a specific reason or just a lack of interest/desire to BE out there in their own capacity.
It is something I need to reconsider and take a good look at. Thanks for sharing what you did. :)

No worries, I hope we've been of some amount of help in discovering how your system functions so that you can get along with everyone better! Good luck in y'all's continued journey together:3
