Hi, all,

I have always been very interested in DID, because i suspect i compartmentalize personalities. I am diagnosed Bipolar with Antisocial personality traits, have never "lost time", and have no prior abuse or trauma, which is mainly why i suspect i do not have DID.

But, the personalities.. they are so drastically different. It's every day i wake up. Sometimes i don't recognize who's looking at me in the mirror. Sometimes i feel really goofy. Sometimes i am very serious. My views on myself and the world are constantly in flux.

Now, again, this is probably just a lack of identity coupled with a chameleon like personality, but i've always been interested in DID nonetheless. I wouldn't wish it upon anybody, but the idea of it, dare i say.. sounds kinda cool.

Anyway, enough about me.

What's your timeline with symptoms and alts been?

Thanks.

Looking back, I can see signs of SOME things, remembering things, back into grade school- some of us remember things back then others don't... or remember them differently...

But we didn't KNOW until a year ago- when we were nearly 40 (the body). :?
Many of us had NO IDEA what we were or how we existed even... it was as much a shock to us as Zor when HE was told, when WE were... Once it "broke" outside, Pixie and Kitten began telling us inside... crazy hard times.

"sounds kinda cool"... IDK How to even respond to that- the GOOD parts of it I guess are... the rest of it, like the reason WHY it exists and all that goes along with that, the not knowing who you are or will be moment to moment, etc... yeah... Not quite "cool", imho. But I get you didn't mean that in a bad way.

I think the symptoms were probably always there. My awareness didn't come until my late 40's.

I always had something that bugged me, in I remembered my siblings often saying to stop acting liking my invisible friends. Now hearing that statement I see how it connects to the D.I.D. when I was very small.

sometime i forget entire 5 hour long Skype sessions w my ex. but that might just be me not caring about the info. i do feel like everyday i have a new view on life and myself, but had no trauma and no major loss of time.

any way to bring alters to the forefront of they're there?
