LOL....
We may need more than that, sometimes my alters get possessive, and would want their own chair...

Wow! Talk about possessive. Dani blew a gasket over the weekend. My DH and my eldest daughter were down the beach looking for shells, and they had left dani alone. She got furious because he wasn't with her, had a crying jag, scared everyone to death because she just kept walking out farther into the ocean. DH and DD thought we were trying to kill ourselves. We could still walk on the bottom of the ocean floor with no problem, so we thought we were safe. DH explained later about undercurents, which none of us knew was a problem... so no, not suicidal... but definitely possessive.

oh yikes!
Um, not like that possessive, although some of the little ones have separation anxiety from Eliza.
They are just possessive in they want their own things and don't always like to share. Especially the little ones. But Grace has her own toothbrush, and Chloe her own blanket, the littles have various stuffed animals coloring books and journals, although they have been a lot better at sharing coloring books and journals knowing that I will buy them more if they need it.
So yah...

Dani is like that in that she has some things that are hers. A stuffed animal that she sleeps with, other stuffed animals and games that are hers, though she's generous and will share... she wants everyone to understand that it's her stuff. She came out and found my middle daughter Mary playing with her magnetix toys and she was not happy because Mary didn't ask.

The last couple of years at Christmas my DH has bought Dani special presents that the two of them open up when no one is around. She also gets special things for Valentines Day and Sweetest Day.

I like that.
That is really nice.
Eliza bought the girls gifts this year and so did my Mom for christmas.
Also Santa came and gave them a gift card.
But there are so many that they have to share.
Every once in a while though I will treat one or a few of them to somthing of their own.
Just this weekend I bought Jane some art supplies because she helped me babysit. SO that was nice.

You all are a delight to read your posts.
I have loved and treated my inner little girl, I bought her presents even when I did not know what I was doing.
Reading your posts help me understand why I can feel like 4 different people in one day.
Thank you,
red

i was uncertain about giving john a present, weather it was the right thing to do. i mean in this crazy mixed up world its hard to tell whats productive and counterproductive, espeically with DID. but i bought john an acoustic because he likes little melodies, music box style melodies and a decent little acoustic works good for that. im thinking if he expands his horizons to further utilize the acoustic i will get him a good spanish classical. i primarially stick to the bass guitar and play things like tool and NIN most of the time. its hilarious because we both like a specific instrument, but when one of us trys to play the other's we fail misserably XD
