Hello, We're new!

Hello everyone!
This is part 2 of our attempt to post (fingers crossed )
I'm K and am a 55 year old survivor of childhood incest and abuse. I have DID and have on this healing journey since the year 2000 when my memories surfaced. 18 years later and I can say the challenges haves been well worth it although there have been many times I doubted it. I have the support of my husband and have been able to find some therapists who really "get it"; This year has definitely been one of the most difficult but I'm hopeful. I'm hoping to be a support to others as well as get support too. I have my inside girls that I refer to as "selves"; I'm going to let them all introduce themselves because everyone deserves to have a voice.

Hi I'm Raven and I'm 13 to 18
I came back on May 20th of this year when Aner needed my help. I guess by now I'm closest to being 17 and I am the self that holds most of the intensity of anger and grief. I'm the strongest so it seems fair to me even though I'm trying to find other things that can define me other than those 2 things. I am a writer and a poet and like to exercise by bike riding and lifting weights. I go to therapy 2 times a week and wear my own clothes when I'm "out". I have converse sneakers in 3 colors (purple for good days, black and red for other moods) bib overalls, a denim baseball hat and sunglasses. I hope to find a teen support group and somewhere I can post poems and writing in general.

My name is Aner and I'm 8 to 12
Well, I guess I can say that I'm now 12; at least it feels that way now that I've been out since Feb 9th. I came back to my Mom (K) like a heart attack; not really, I just like to rhyme (and talk) A LOT! I have a big imagination and I like to write stories and poems about all kinds of things. My project for this month is taking pictures of all the dogs I can find while I'm out riding my favorite bike, which is one that you lay back on (a recumbent) and is bright yellow. It could be embarrassing for my Mom and Raven but I'm very lucky they are able to find a way to NOT feel that way. So far I have 11 pictures from the last 2 days--I don't always get to be out front and doing what I want to do. We are all pretty good at taking turns. I hope someone out there in as interested as I am at getting to know them.

Hi, I'm Elkay and I am 4 to 7 and my best friend is Kar who is 1 to 3
we like to play with clay and are making a tree right now...we like the movie Moana, Curious George and wearing pink shoes like you wear at the beach and the moon and clouds ...we love pigs and elephants and like it when someone reads us funny books.

Hi K, I'm sorry you have had a bad year but hopefully this next one will be a lot better. I'm very much at the beginning of my journey but I have arranged to see a therapist starting in Jan to explore my memories and other "selves". I really much prefer that term to alters btw.

Kelly is the only one so far I can communicate with. The others are too hidden or traumatised to speak. But she loves what Aner is doing with the dogs and is very excited about the bike! We have a sable and white border collie puppie called Marlie but no bicycle. But Kelly adds she would like a pink one with a basket!

I would love to think that in 18 years everyone in my system would have had a chance to heal and feel brave enough to claim their own identity likes yours do.
