They are different then me I make all once I started seeing wear what I got in my closets, it makes it more personal to us in the inner world, especially if I hadnt gotten to who has this preference for clothing already purchased.

Well as far body we are them in you can say they have different bodys because it is a state of mind being old feeling who has what qualities....Seeing outside self is just that so they have sentimental value to certain things clothing for example or to allow a friend to borrow clothing.

No one looks exactly like our body. Our former hosts took inspiration from it, though, but they look like anime characters, not real people. In fact, most of us look like cartoon characters and anime style is the most common. (Not that we're anime fans. I blame a childhood spent watching "Sailor Moon".)

The appearence of their body is created in their mind, just like your appearence is created in your mind, your view of the body isnt perfectly in sync with your actual body either...

If they are kids created at a certain age they will have a body similar to their beliefs of how their body looked to them at that age, but they may be created as copies of others too, having a image of their body similar to the one they try to copy. And in some cases, a bodyimage that is pure fantasy.

This isnt so different from people in general either, some people believe they look gorgeus when they actually look like garbage, or the other way around, ofcourse...
Others think they are fat when they are thin (Common belief among those who have Anorexia). A lot of people actually believe their nose is bigger than it is (it is actually normal to believe that!) and so on...

So yes, everyones appearence differs from their real body, alters or not. But alters do have a freedom to create their selfimage in a wider way than the host.
-However, there also seems to exist somekind of unconcious correction. For example: allowing an alter who images themselves as small kid to get by even if they control the body of a big adult.
