Travel Tips

Hi Everbody,

Host travels for work like all the time! Here's some stuff we figured out to make it better. :D

Before you leave print out all the airline, hotel, and maps and stuff so you won't forget under pressure. Some Hosts get really flaky when they travel.

Appoint a designated 'Checker' to double check everything like - Got the suitcase?, Got the ticket?, What's the gate?, Got the rent car papers? Which hotel? Stuff like that.

Remember to bring a stuffie for the Littles so they won't freak out in the hotel room. Maybe some colors too. Our Littles worry about food all the time so we ALWAYS TAKE SNACKS.

Put the Do Not Disturb sign on the door so the cleaning people don't come in and rearrange your stuff which freaks us out and makes Protectors go ballistic!

Safe places are super important! The Littles HAVE to stay in their safe place while we're going through security and when we're in the Uber with strangers. That's just the rule.

Protectors have to know if you get searched at the airport it's not an attack or anything. When a Protector gets surprised they can square off on the TSA guy. Things only get worse from there!

Take pictures of your T, your house, your bedroom, your pets and stuff so you can look at them when you need to. That really helps.

Do something fun! Like order room service or go to a special dinner somewhere cool!

You can tell us about your travel tips too!!!

Good luck. Safe travels :D

Iain

Oh and if you forget the stuffie they always sell them at airports so it will be ok.

great thread Iain

I sent screenshots of the maps to my text message on my phone. Then they are always accessible even if you don't have access to the internet in a foreign country for example.

A few high nutrient content snacks that can tide you over if you are traveling weird hours, or if you can't eat the food at your destination.

i have little travel toys that fit in an adult looking zipper case so all is concealed.

headphones, even if you don't listen to music. then if you don't want to talk to someone you can put them on and either listen or pretend.

lots of positive - you got this, to the parts working so hard.
keep ya head up, Don't let up, keep slayin em

not sure what the point was.
