i am taking face2face counselling for more tgan a year.and i thought i was too dependent on it.i liked to check for parallel ways like what if the therapy is ended all of a sudden what should i do? where do i go???
i am so anxious on this i dont know how to talk to someone in phone especially a psychotherapy through phone.i dont know.i need support.i am so much dissociated and all.i dont want to return to my original state again as i wished i need to keep up this feeling of positivity i get after therapy thats why i choosed phone therapy also i am continuning face2face parallalely...
does anyone of u have experiance in phone psychotherapy.as i feel comfortavle speaking to someone in home.that gives me more rest and all.
also there is a large online psychotherapy providers who give phone therapy.so in a place like mine where psychotherapist are so rare if i can find progress through phone therapy i will get so much opportunity to continue therapy rather than breaking it...

I occasionally have a phone consultation with my therapist but I have to say I don't like it too much. It never feels as good or as productive. Having said that, I will do it when I can't drive to her.
If you have trouble finding a therapust and this is your only choice then so be it. I would always choose face to face, in person.
Diagnosed DID with a few other states.

Is video calling an option? I agree that in someones home is better as you can feel and see what is going on (and escape into a 'safe' space away from where you live). i say video as then you and your therapist would see one another, she may notice when you're about to switch or when you are anxious without you having to say it.
I haven't tried either as i struggle to talk on the phone and when i get anxious i stop talking which wouldn't be helpful lol. Hope you find something that helps

the therapy went well the psychotherapist used some sort of hypnotherapy.like he made me sit relax and open my mind.it helped because i was able to open up...
but not longlasting i know.as nothing of this was longlastimg making me frustrated...
but anyway it was good.
