I've recently been finding myself drawn more and more to the idea of having more than one person in my mind, and I'm not talking "oh that's so strange and cool!" I'm talking "why does that make sense to me?"
I've had vivid daydreams (more like daymares) where my body does…things I'm not comfortable admitting, and I've had moments where I blank out mid-task, mind wandering, and then I come to and find I've missed things.
What I'm most worried about is that sometimes, when I'm more than simply enraged, I have a short(?) span of time where I remember nothing, only to kick back into gear again and find I must've tried to attack someone. Nobody's gotten injured (except one guy's pride), but I'm worried about if there's more than just me in here, or if I just have a way-too-active imagination.
I'd figure I'd ask here, since many of you guys know for a fact what it's like and have a frame of reference.

it could be, but it also could just be normal daydreaming and normal dissociation.
a lot of people get lost in thought and preoccupied and don't recall doing things, like driving somewhere and not remembering the whole trip or getting lost in thought during something that is tedious and boring. that is more a mild dissociation that is very normal.
having daydreams is also a normal experience for most people where they imagine being in other places and doing things they might not do in reality including things they might not want to admit to.
it's also common for some people who get angry to get so mad that they can't control what they do and don't remember it, but that doesn't equal having an alter either. i know several people who are like that. it is a type of dissociation though as their mind cannot handle the intense rage so shuts down during that moment. maybe learning how to better manage your anger is something that could help with that type of situation.
if you do have alters, they will show themselves when they are ready. i'm not sure what to suggest though.
