Do you hear your alters talk to eachother

I can be sitting alone in a quiet room and suddenly realize that the room is quite loud, but only in my head. I often hear them talking amongst themselves, but as soon as I notice, they stop. So, I never get to hear what they are saying. I also get the sensation that someone was just yelling at the top of their lungs, but I never heard a sound.
