"I'd be concerned about people suffering from DID could be triggered by what is on the myspace website"
Actully chickadee was the one concerned. And why do you have to hammer down whats already been stated previously.
I didn't make that statement on the open forums, however. For the benefit of the DID forum users and in response to kev1983's statement about being discredited, I think it was something
this forum needed to hear.
Those who live with D.I.D. have suffered enough, do you really think im that cruel of a person that i would be out to hurt someone!
Well, we don't know you, so yes I think it's possible that people would seek to harm those who have already been victimized... "bad guys" often do that. So, until we know more about you, we have to err on the side of caution to help our users protect themselves. It would be helpful if you were doing this documentary as part of a sponsored study or a university research team. That way, we could verify with your employer or via the research grant that this project is legitimate. If you have either information, please feel free to share it with us and the entire discussion will be dropped. We just have to be mindful of our users' safety, and the myspace page you have included with your profile very well
could be triggering and upsetting to people with DID.
If you know anything about DID, and I assume you do based on what you've already posted, you know that this disorder can make someone very vulnerable to triggers. I am certain if you care as much about the users with this unique disorder as you have stated, you agree with my opinion that much care should be used NOT to further hurt them, even inadvertently.
Bates: the last thing I want to see is any of you upset or hurt. Yup, this forum is full of us mods at the moment in the interest of making sure you are safe. (((((hugs))))) Thanks as always for the levity.
