Driving And You

Postby Mr. Bates » Tue Nov 21, 2006 5:08 am

You know whats scary? Sharing a body with an 18 year old driver. In case you don't know, 18 year old drivers suck. Especially totally ADD ones messing with their CD player while driving at NASCAR speeds and just about going through the railing. Not my idea of a good time. Anyone else got any wonderful car stories?

Mike--try finding yourself being driven around by a 13 yr old who has never driven before! Running off the road--going 20 mph--screaming bloody murder! Surely not a fun time!
Then there's the time we're driving down the road at night, don't know where we are--what time it is--and a 16 yr old is driving at high rates of speed (90 mph--not NASCAR speeds, but still fast). I could go on and on. But I won't.
The funniest one was when I felt really small--it was a 3 yr old trying to drive--got pulled over by a cop--spoke in a small voice--said "can't drive"--cop took me to the local psych facility--the Protector came out and we got to leave without further adieu.

Any else?

That was D's little rant, not mine. And I'll have you know I rock at driving.

Except when you almost take out a pole, ######6 with the stereo.

Though tonight, we did get a good laugh when he freaked out on the radio "MUSIC! ######6 PLAY MUSIC! ###$ YOU, COMMERCIAL! MUSIC! NOW!" - Frank

So thats what got you talking about the driving last night!
I thought it was just somethign random... good times!
We have lots of driving stories, mostly ones where we get horribly turned around, because of the "ghost/robot" alter who takes over and goes to bad places. but there was one time that beth was really excited about going to the gym, and she was talking to eliza and she started driving and then halfway there realized she couldnt drive and switched out freaking out eliza.
Or there was the first few times that lAlA and I were co-conscious in the car with eliza and I was driving and lAlA was talking to Eliza and Eliza was freaking out because she thought a 7 yo was driving.
hmm .. funny...

Lucky for us none of us knows how to drive (yet), so this issue is ahead of us. We do know others with DID with this issue though.. A girl we know was in denial about her condition because all professionals said she was lying and her environment denied her too, then she started to think they were right, got in the car, switched to a little and ended up in hospital.
But driving-situations can be funny too with DID, at least, that's what I see in your stories 8)..

oh god...funny driving stories...I was taking my little brother to church the other day, at the request of parents :( but anyway, church always makes me switch. So we got in teh car afterwards and Ri came out to say 'right. we're gonna go for a drive.'
And we started to drive down the major A-roads close by.
After a while, my little bro said 'um...where are we going...?'...a bit worriedly.
And I said 'Oh, this is jsut our sunday drive!'
Then Riesh was all bad-boy-racer shouting at other cars and cussing them. I kept apologising on his behalf for the swearing but funnily enough, my bro was like 'Cool!'
We spent ages just driving down A-roads like that, going nowhere!

It was so random.
-- So what then is this I?
Right now, as you read this, does it amount to anything more than a collection of thoughts and memories which are just transitory, and come and go in the mind like clouds in the sky? --

Mike does just fine on his own with the screaming and yelling and cursing... best entertainment you can possibly get.

Church makes us switch too.

Anyway, sounds like that was a fun ride :)
