Anonymous rant

So, I am not going to disclose who I am, but there is a mild to moderate "crisis" going on inside and I would like some feedback - either someone to slap the $#%^ out of us or something I don't know but I am alone right now.

The problems are:
1. Joblessness.
Veronica has submitted hundreds of resumes and contacted employment agencies to no avail. It has been 8 months. They are chemical engineers with 15+ years experience. They may have to resort to retail type job (the admin jobs won't hire them because they are "overqualified"). A teaching job may be an option but the DISD doesn't decide until late April, doesn't tell the applicants who are turned down, and require a $3000 course for summer: 3 months 8a-5p (i.e. no income, still need child care).

2. Support system breakdown.
a. Sister fallout... DA is a strong Christian who grew up in an evangelistic disapproving cult-like atmosphere before her family turned atheist from it. She was agnostic for many years until someone introduced her to Answers in Genesis which explained rationally and scientifically how the Bible could be true (her main problem was always that every preacher just had their own take on "truth" with no moral authority). Her sister, a STRONG atheist, has been the main "friend" since the move back to hometown. This weekend that sister went on a rant (just a little more intense than in the past) about how stupid Christians are - as though only those who are too weak to handle problems need a god and that the Bible is full of stories about a vicious God. It hurt DA's feelings drastically and increased worries about the exposure her child will get (her dad already believes we were put here by aliens).
b. Her mother is going through a current breakdown (she experiences this from time to time when meds need adjustment) and is emotionally unavailable.
c. All other friends were left back in previous town and only marginally available.
d. New churches have been tried but nothing yet established.

3. Veronica started therapy
V took over primary control after the miscarriage. However, she is not usually one who feels much. That is why she has so many memories because she does not feel the emotion of them. Now, instead of retreating from contact with DA's mother, for example, she must stay and deal with it. She is over her head but still won't relinquish control even if she wanted to (Therapist believes that DA is too unstable to deal with more than care of her son). Anyway, V started therapy. She is distrustful of pretty much everyone so has tested this T to new limits, even offering to "trade services" (the fact that she trusts the T enough to talk at all is quite astounding however, and possibly an indication of her inner turmoil). She has made up HUGE exaggerations and outright lies about what she has experienced in the past as well as what she does right now. Mostly about sexual prowess. It is getting way off topic and way out of control and to the point that her therapy seems like one long lie. DA is soooo honest, it goes right down to the bones of all the others, too. For V to be manipulating this so vastly is causing those of us who hear her stories to cringe in shame. (the littles can't hear that stuff). Therapist did tell Meagain to tell the T not to believe everything V says but doesn't want to cause a rift since this is the first time V has ever consented to therapy at all.

4. Depression.
They take high doses of two anti-depressants, the best regimen they've ever had in 20 years of different drugs. The prescribing doc (who gave the DID Dx btw) is in the old town. No one wants to get a new pdoc because of the DID Dx controversy and past history on disclosure. The Rx is still good for another year. The T commented that it is probably due to V feeling things she never felt before and all the other situations going on and although she still encourages them to find a pdoc, she doesn't seem particularly worried about the depression (it's not like a suicidal type, just a persistant lack of energy and sitting around crying all the time).

So that's the deal. Needless to say it's crazy in here. The fact that I am out at all should be an indication. I just thought Therapist (aka Eileen) could use some help as she appears to be in over her head.

In order of "front" time: DA 41, Veronica 26, Meagain 13, Sara 9-12, et al
Dx=DID w/body of 41yo SWF in TX (if no sig, assume DA)

Hey Anon,

that s a lot to deal with right now-

I m glad V has started to open up in therapy even if it s all lies she tells, eand even if she tests the T.
The others can fill in what has or hasn t happened afterwards if necessary I think?

depression is hard to live with, sending all of you much strenght

support ssystems falling apart is huge, you need som e back up at the end of the day - it s no tsomething you can buy in a store, so I don t know how to rebuild it - but I wonder if it s really all gone? You only mentioned your sister and mother if I read right?
Are thre any friends left you know of?
Worth a check?

I don t know about medication, but if you feel safe at this docs I think it s okay to stay put, it s hard to trust new people as it is.

I s m sorry you guys don t have ajob right now, I hope you do can find one, maybe not directly the one you like mos tbut just somthing that brings in some money

Much strenght and good luck to all of you
