can dissociated emotions turn into some type of altar?
or are they just emotions which are dissociated?
and is this what they call secondary structural dissociation?

yes, if there are alters, that is secondary dissociation. Yes, emotions that are dissociated are generally alters if DID is diagnosed. However, you can have repressed emotions or suppress your emotions for a time where you hold back emotions and that is not dissociation. Alters do not have to have names, but there is a sense of a separate "part" or something intrusive about it's existence. in DID.
You can't suddenly turn into DID or suddenly develop alters. It's a process of the personality integrating throughout development in your early years. Either it happens or it doesn't- that's all dependent on the individual. Trauma in later life will not turn into alters or DID though- that's PTSD. Although overlapping in many aspects- DID alters can only form in childhood. There are a lot of good resources you can read up on in one of the sticky tags at the top of the forum.
Female 50, fully integrated. former DID diagnosis,PTSD, panic, and depression
